Meet Andrew Klansek, Director of Assisted Living at Kensington Park Senior Living

Andrew Klansek joined Kensington Senior Living in 2015 and has been a valued and dedicated leader ever since. He served as the Director of Assisted Living at Kensington Falls Church, where he played an instrumental role in fostering a warm, supportive environment for residents and team members alike. His commitment to excellence and deep passion for senior care led him to his current role as Director of Assisted Living at Kensington Park.


For Andrew, Assisted Living is more than a profession—it’s a calling. “Assisted Living is special to me because there is so much life within our community,” he shares. Reflecting on his time at Kensington Falls Church, Andrew emphasizes the importance of community and dignity. “When you walk through our community and take a minute to see the resident interactions, you can see that the Kensington community feels more like family. Our community promotes independence and autonomy for our residents while providing the care and support they need to live a comfortable and happy life.”
Andrew brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and compassion to his work, always striving to ensure residents receive the highest level of personalized care and support.

Department Deep Dive

The Care and Nursing Department at The Kensington is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care that supports the health, dignity, and well-being of each resident. With a focus on personalized attention, the team works collaboratively to meet the unique needs of residents in both Assisted Living and Memory Care. Through skilled nursing, hands-on support, and a deep commitment to fostering meaningful connections, the department ensures that every resident feels safe, valued, and cared for each day.

The Lead Care Partner supervises the care team, ensuring that all residents receive the highest quality of care. They are responsible for overseeing daily caregiving activities, assisting with training and mentoring new team members, and ensuring that all care plans are followed accurately to support residents’ well-being.

The Care Partner provides direct, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility. They also monitor residents’ health, communicate with families, and offer companionship, ensuring that each resident’s needs are met with dignity and respect.

The Private Duty Aid provides one-on-one personal care and support to residents in their private residences. This role offers assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and meal preparation, ensuring that residents receive individualized care tailored to their specific needs.

The Wellness Nurse/RN is responsible for overseeing the health and wellness of residents. This role involves conducting assessments, creating care plans, administering medications, and providing education on health management. The Wellness Nurse works closely with the care team to ensure optimal care for residents.

The LPN/LVN provides hands-on nursing care to residents under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring vital signs, assisting with medical procedures, and supporting the overall health and well-being of residents. The LPN/LVN is an integral part of the clinical care team, ensuring residents receive compassionate and professional care.
