We promise to love and care for your family as we do our own.
We look forward to bringing the same heartfelt excellence reflected in these testimonials from our sister communities to The Kensington Reston when we open in 2021.
“My mom has lived in the assisted living segment of Kensington Park for a few years and we could not be happier. She did not make the move happily, but everyone–from the director to her dining room waiter–went above and beyond to make her feel welcome, comfortable, and at home, and she is now content and active and enjoying her life again.
Lots of the places we toured treat residents a bit like children, with crayons and glitter. Kensington Park recognizes that their residents are still adults who just need help, and activities and features are planned accordingly. Lectures, discussions, games, classes, clubs, outings and activities, music performances, movie nights, and daily happy hour (the highlight of every afternoon!) are all very much designed for adults who want to feel mentally stimulated and still contributing members of their communities.
Every day is a busy day, every encounter is warm and compassionate without being overbearing, communication with our family has been top-notch, and medical care is outstanding. Care is for the whole family–they want to know how I am as much as how my mom is and there is a very strong support network here for loved ones. Holidays and special occasions bring restaurant-quality lunches and dinners for the whole family, and everyone is always welcome. They say the coffee is always on and they mean it, literally and figuratively. Kensington Park is a dream come true for our family and we are beyond grateful.”

“Moving my father to The Kensington is the best decision we ever made. I felt like Goldilocks when I looked at other living facilities. Every place I visited was ‘too much’ or ‘not enough,’ but when I walked into The Kensington, it felt ‘just right.’
The staff are skilled and compassionate, and they treat everyone like family. The decor makes it feel like a hotel or an upscale apartment community. The food is excellent. My family likes The Kensington so much that my cousin has even started volunteering there for her high school community service project.
I’m decades away from retirement, but I’m already thinking about how I can move to The Kensington.”

“My family and I cannot thank The Kensington staff enough for the care and kindness shown to our Uncle. We knew he was being cared for and helped at a point in time in his life when he needed it most. We could not have done that on our own.
Thank you again to The Kensington. Your model works and I hope you can continue to provide the care and living environment to the many seniors who live with you.”

“I hope you know that what you and your staff have done for us is so much more than amazing. From having Mom live with us, to our bad experience with [another assisted living community], to her finally ending up with you, truly has been life altering for me. I am not good at speaking in front of a group but I felt like I was just talking to extended family. We are thrilled with the care Mom receives at TKFC. I hope that is what we conveyed. She is treated like she is family. I am happy to share our Kensington experience with anyone, anytime.“

“I have peace of mind with Kensington Park. They provide security for my mom, whom was reluctant to move, but now she says, and I quote “having a blast.” She feels like she is on vacation. I can’t feel more secure and happy about where my mother is living, and I know that she is in a safe place. It’s the quality and care that she deserves.”
