The Kensington Reston offers an ever-changing calendar of events to residents seven days a week, from morning till evening. An active lifestyle has been proven to improve long-term quality of life, particularly for seniors.

Social engagement and friendships have also been shown to increase feelings of belonging, improve cognitive function, and enhance feelings of worth.

At The Kensington Reston, life enrichment is one of our top priorities and our full-time life enrichment team is dedicated to providing our residents with a full schedule of diverse and interesting activities.

Each resident contributes to our Kensington family, whether it’s a passion for golf, a musical talent, or a love of cooking. With such a wide range of activities, our life enrichment programming allows residents to share and grow their interests while also celebrating the uniqueness of our resident community.

Additionally, Pocket Programs, which are small-group activities tailored to different interests and abilities, provide opportunities for friendship, and boost a sense of mastery. These programs enable each resident to participate in small-group activities based on their interests and abilities.

Full-time Life Enrichment coordinators work with our team to keep our activities schedule diverse and exciting. Additional activities staff assist and even participate with our residents – much like your family would.
