The Kensington Reston invites you to a virtual cooking demonstration led by brain health experts, Dr. Ayesha and Dr. Dean Sherzai, and Kensington Executive Chef Erwin.

About The Presenters:
Ayesha Sherzai, MD, MAS: Vascular Neurologist & Research Assistant is co-director of the Alzheimer’s Prevention Program at Loma Linda University, where she leads the Lifestyle Program for the Prevention of Neurological Diseases. She completed a dual training in Preventative Medicine and Neurology at Loma Linda University, and a fellowship in Vascular Neurology and Epidemiology at Columbia University. She is also a trained plant-based culinary artist.
Dean Sherzai, MD, PhD, MAS, MP: Behavioral Neurologist & Research Assistant is co-director of the Alzheimer’s Prevention Program at Loma Linda University. Dean trained in Neurology at Georgetown University School of Medicine, and completed fellowships in neurodegenerative diseases and dementia at the National Institutes of Health and UC San Diego. He also holds a PhD in Healthcare Leadership with a focus on community health from Andrews University.
Chef Erwin joined The Kensington family in 2015 and is currently the Director of Dining Services at The Kensington Redondo Beach. Chef Erwin and his family relocated to the United States from Guatemala, where he found his true calling in senior living. His passion is designing menus that not only meet residents’ dietary needs, but also encourage brain and heart health. The Kensington is proud to partner with culinary artists like Chef Erwin who combine the health of residents with a five star, gourmet dining experience.
